Data We Collect

What information NovusHub stores

Steam account data — When you log in via Steam, we receive your Steam64 ID, username, and public avatar URL from the Steam OpenID service.

Account data — Username, display name, profile settings, and content you create (configs, clips, forum posts, screenshots).

Payment data — If you purchase Nova Premium, we store your subscription plan, start and expiry dates, and PayPal order IDs. We do not store card numbers or full payment credentials — these are handled entirely by PayPal.

Usage data — Page views, feature interactions, and IP addresses for rate-limiting and security purposes.

How We Use Your Data

Purpose of data processing

To provide and operate the NovusHub platform, including authentication, leaderboards, and community features.

To process and manage Nova Premium subscriptions and grant VIP status on our CS2 servers.

To enforce our community rules, moderate content, and investigate reported violations.

To send service-critical notifications (e.g. subscription expiry). We do not send unsolicited marketing emails.

Who we share data with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.

PayPal — Payment processing for Nova Premium subscriptions. Subject to PayPal's own privacy policy.

Cloudflare R2 — File storage for uploaded configs, clips, and screenshots.

Sentry — Error monitoring. Crash reports may include anonymised request metadata.

Data Retention & Security

How long we keep data and how it's protected

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Deleted accounts are purged within 30 days.

Payment records are retained for 7 years to comply with financial regulations, even after account deletion.

Data is stored on EU-based infrastructure. All connections are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
